Track News: Rolling Green Raceway Now Open For 2013 Season

Storied karting track to host karting schools, corporate outings and season practice passes

Rolling Green RacewayOne of America’s oldest kart racing tracks, Rolling Green Raceway, is officially open and offering a full-line of services for the 2013 racing season. RGR will be home to MRP Speed Schools and will offer a complete list of Rotax Race School programs starting from Micro Max all the way to DD2. MRP Speed Schools operate by appointment and have programs available for nearly anyone, from the beginning racer to the most seasoned driver looking for more advanced coaching. Season practices are also available giving season-members 7-Days-A-Week access to track practice.

“We started the kid kart school program at this very track many years ago and that has turned into one of our most successful programs for new karters,” said Garry Lobaugh, MRP President.

Located in Buchanan, Michigan, RGR was established in 1962 under the name Christie’s Rolling Green and in 1987 renamed Michiana Raceway Park. It was renamed again to Rolling Green Raceway nearly ten years ago.

“The track is short, technical, has elevation changes and a mixture of several different corners that make it a great teaching track,” said Professional Driver and Instructor, Marc Miller. “I have conducted several schools here already and it is both physical and tricky.”

For those looking into group outings or an inexpensive practice kart, MRP Speed Schools has an entire fleet of used KT100-powered school karts available for quick sale.
