Industry News: D Power Racing Engines Powers Drivers to the Podium in SKUSA Competition
D Power Racing Engines has had a busy month of April preparing engines to help propel its drivers to the podium in a number of SKUSA races. D Power Racing Engines started off with supporting its drivers at the SKUSA Pro Tour in Tucson, Arizona. Daniel Patino, the experienced engine builder, knew the challenges the circuit provides on engine packages and would look to not only have the fastest power plants, but also consistent and reliable ones. Austin Versteeg, utilizing D Power Racing Engines for the first time, had a fantastic weekend in the TAG Junior category. Versteeg was able to finish a strong 4th on Saturday before improving with chassis tuner Brian Fletcher to a 2nd place podium position on Sunday.
Austin Versteeg would continue his strong run with D Power engines at the SKUSA Rocky Mountain opening round at Miller Motorsports Park. Versteeg dominated the TAG Junior class with his D Power Leopard sweeping the entire weekend taking the pole, heat races, and main event victories on both Saturday and Sunday.
This past weekend, D Power Racing Engines, would continue to assert itself as the leader in TAG Junior at the SKUSA ProKart Challenge at Adams Motorsports Park. Brenden Baker would be the class of the field all day using his D Power Leopard to bring home the victory and take the championship lead. Fellow D Power Racing Engines drivers Willy Axton and Phillippe Denes were both having solid runs in the final battling for top 5 positions, before being caught up in incidents and being shuffled down the final finishing order. Ethan Wilson was leading the TAG Masters main event with a D Power ROK TT, before an electrical problem ended his race early. Wilson switched late to a D Power engine and immediately had the pace to contend for the victory and will be tough to beat on the D Power engine package for the rest of the season.
A big thank you goes to all D Power Racing Engines drivers including: Vatche Tatikian, Steve Wiener, Andrew Wiener, Juan Jimenez, Felipe Ceballos, and Will Jadiker for making these events successful.
