my airbox is blowing air out of it and not sucking air in durning the next 2 heats i ran my highest rpms and fastest lap i have ever ran what does this mean..

I think Jimmy is onto something here Chris.
It does sound like you broke a portion of the skirt off the piston on the intake side. This will allow for the better high end performance, due to a change in the port timing for the intake cycle.
As there are limits to the intake duration in both organizations, you should have a competient engine buider check it out and replace the piston if necessary. In addition, the broken portion will allow for more piston "slap" and a much shorter rod life, so check it out soon. |
