I'm not going to say that Danica and Milka can't drive. I know that they have shown that they can drive in their respective forms of racing but I really question ARCA or whoever pulls the strings for ARCA letting them drive Daytona in their first stock car race.

There should be some requirement to get some experience at short or intermediate tracks first.

Should be exciting!

Tom- she couldn't possibly be a hippie, they never acknowleged the internal combustion engine.....or soap. Off to communes to farm "naturally" with mules, they learned first hand how many acres and hours of farming that way it takes to feed a person, and not to put the barn above the well. Typhoid is an awful disease. She doesn't look the type. To clean.

Bob asked:

Besides Danica and Milka it looks like there will be 6 other LADIES trying to qualify for the ARCA Crashfest Sorry I meant RACE. Does anyone know which team affiliations they are with? There may be some that could very easily replace some of the current crop of Sprint cup drivers . Perhaps MY best Idea would be the highest finishing lady should replace Earnhart Jr. I'm just saying

I believe one lady is racing with Venturini, raced with them last year, Alli Owens. My son worked a few races on pit crew changing tires last year.
BTW, they weren't impressed with Danica's ARCA testing.

While Danica Patrick's participation in this weekend's ARCA test is garnering plenty of national attention, there are nine other women drivers in attendance for the three-day test.

The list of women drivers includes:
* Daytona Beach native and Atlantic High School graduate Alli Owens driving the No. 15 Venturini Motorsports Chevrolet
* Leilani Munter driving a Dodge for Mark Gibson Racing
* IndyCar Series driver Milka Duno, a native of Venezuela, testing the No. 90 Braun Racing Toyota
* Jennifer Jo Cobb in the No. 21 Bowsher Racing Ford
* Michelle Theriault, Jill George and Ashley Parlett are all testing Fords for Fast Track Racing
* Amber and Angela Cope, twin nieces of 1990 Daytona 500 champion Derrike Cope who are shaking down Dodges for Rick Markle Racing.
