| Can someone tell me if there is a power gain running a Briggs animal engine with no muffler ( just using a header pipe)? The kart is just used for fun on a small oval with a group of freinds. we all have the same engine- Animal out of the box with cam and rod changed. Thanks. |

I'm assuming by muffler you mean the RLV silencer. If so I doubt you'll notice a difference on track. Unless you have a pretty radical motor that RLV won't restrict it enough to matter.

I agree with John. The "bugle" exhaust sound is cool for a few minutes.... then after that, you are just loosing hearing and it gets annoying. _________________ Jamie Webb
