This is my 100cc Controlled ride which I did manage to win. Camera is mounted on the steering shaft on this kart so a little different perspective than before.

Hope you enjoy it, I sure enjoyed the ride. Wink

Hi Nick,
The secret to the vibration at least for the picture is a camcorder with "image stabilization" as far as mounting the camcorder I used a camera bag with some high density foam under it and tied it to the belly pan. The camera was just velcroed to the top of my micron beacon.

this guy was probably having just as much fun as I was and he didn't slow me down too much. ALSO he was a courteous driver and made sure once he knew I was there to let me go on. Makes for great racing when you are out there with more than one class to not race the other classes so my hat is off to him.

How about posting a pic of the video equipment you use and how its connectd to the kart. Are you using a seperate small cam lens for the mount on the micron post or is the whole camera there?

Bill, yes I use a helmetcam mounted on the top of my micron beacon that records to a sony camcorder that is in a padded camera bag on the belly pan. See the camcorder here Camcorder

I use the 380 line res camera. Runs on 8-AA batteries and lasts several hours.

Next time I get everything mounted up I'll try to get a pic for ya.

Sweet video...

Wouldn't the world be a safer place if we could pull in 100+ karts in that class vs the situp stuff... So nice being flat on your back. Is the WKA version still a Spec carb and pipe for Controlled? Our class is gone out West... what a frigin shame.
