The MG KZ is the replacement for the older XZ. I have run both in sprint racing and found the KZ to be more consistant throughout its life and lasts longer. The KZ's ran best at a tire pressure of 9psi for a sprint race. Probably add a 2 or 3 punds for autocross.

The KZ came out in May I think. MG's website still shows the XZ as the green tire although they do have the KZ if you call them and ask for the KZ. I ordered two more sets of KZ's last week. All I can think is there is a lot of surplus XZ's laying around that they are trying to get rid of. Since the XZ and KZ are not spec tires for any racing series who knows how long they will be around.

If you want KZ's call MG and ask for them, they are a better tire and shipping is free.

The same is true of MG yellow's. The website shows MZ yet it has been replaced by the FZ. If you don't request the new tire you get the old version.
