I have no sponsor, I am just a guy that drives my kart at the local track. I use Ribtect seat and vest and I am totaly happy with them. I happen to know a thing or two about customer satisfaction. I work for a software company that does everything that we can do to ensure customer satisfaction, and I will tell you this as the pinacle of customer satisfaction in our industry I think that even we could learn something from Robbie Mott. The guy is plain and simple a class act. He has done everything and then some to ensure that I was satisfied. So with the Ribtect not only do you get in my oppinion a great product but you get world class service from a guy who really cares about karters in general.

In addition, I paid for my stuff and have nothing to gain from what I have said. However anyone who reads this does have something to gain by purchasing a Ribtect product a good product at what I think is a fair price, and more than anythign a great customer experience.

Thank you Mr. Clark- good point

You are absulutely right. As far as rib protectors go, there are many many different types and price ranges. I have a rictect rib protector and a deep seat seat... they do work well together.

I bought them myself as I believe in both products. From my experience with broken ribs, I can tell you my rib protector made a big difference and since my ribs have healed I have yet to go out in a kart without one.

I have raced without my deep seat mounted in the last few races (as I didin't have time to put it in before the race) and I noticed an immediate difference. More fatigue, less comfort..everything both the two manufacturers promise is true.

So Lyle, since your question was about rib protectors, my OPINION is the ribtect is the nicest one I have had. I know the one Darren produces is similar, although I have not used it.. and Deep Seat recently came out with one too, but I haven't seen it. Hope that helps.

Well I'm definately not a sponsored Karter. The Big X I wore recently at one of my last races will tell that (Ask Marc) I use a Deep Seat and Love it. Im a Larger Guy, even if I thinned up a bit id still be much larger than the average karter. I've never tried the Ribtec seat, But ive heard its simular to the Deep Seat. Either way it supports me ALOT better than the regular seats. I dont even feel the need to wear the vest on the BIG tracks. I might be bitten though......
All I know is I dont hurt anymore

Lyle,

Since your question was about rib vests, not seats, I will answer your question. I wear a Ribtect and have never had any rib problems with it. Most drivers I know also wear this vest, it's well made, well marketed and more importantly, works.

Without getting into the politics of the seat thing, it is CRITICAL your seat be properly fitted regardless of what brand you have. The greatest rib vest in the world won't do a bit of good if your seat is too big. Your seat should fit you tighter than a glove so your body doesn't slam into the sides at turn in.

Good luck.

To all in this thread......I have been gone the past three days...off racing....but I AM BACK NOW!

I think Mr. CLark and any one else who read the deleted previous comment in this space knows why it was deleted. I would advise others to avoid expressing such strong opinions in such a manner.

Charlie
