Well....ya know....who was the best race director you have ever raced under?
Any and all who have ever taken on the challenge to do their best, pray for a safe event, and try to please everyone!
For any Director, a very arduous task,
......they are ALL the best. |

I don't know about the best ever, since I've only raced for 4 years but so far, Tom Argy sure seems to run a proffesional race. Well thought out and on time.

| Having been there/done that, I'd agree with Tim Lamkin. THough not all perfect, anyoen who volunteers to do that job deserves a great deal of appreciation. It is more often than nota thankless job. |

I can't agree more with Tim Lamkin. I've been kart racing almost 10 years and am very grateful to every race director I've ever had. I CERTAINLY DON'T WANT TO DO IT!!! It is a thankless job and doesn't look like much fun to me.
The best race director is the one where the most reasonable and nicest collection of racers came to race. No problems, good race director....a few cough, cough.....bad apples show up and you hate the race director.
I raced Canyon Region SKUSA this year and haven't had that much fun in years. It wasn't the race director that made the races good or bad (although they did a fine job)....it was the people racing. IMHO |

The Best? We haven't been to enough races across the country to make an educated decision. However, I would like to say that JR & Crew have really stepped up to the plate
in terms of getting the job done. The Mission Region events have been running quite nicely and I have to give them my vote. Like Keith said though, three cheers for all of 'em. I sure wouldn't want the job! |

Like Larry I haven't been around enough to say who's better than who.
Based on what I've seen of what race directors have to do, what they have to put up with, and what they get in return, my hat's off to anyone who would even consider doing the job.
