Dude,
You'll have to put a ton of lead on it though. Literally! _________________ Chaz Clover

Because I'm bored, I did some math that's probably wrong, but to make weight you'd have to come in at about 6 tons. That's a lot of lead. You'd have trouble finding enough people at the track to lift it off the stand. You'd have trouble just getting the damned thing to the track.
On the up side, if you could make the grid with a 6-ton go-kart it would still give old men heart attacks and make small children wet their pants when it took the green. _________________ Chaz Clover

| Is it a coincidence that the suicide bombers are exploding bombs made of hydrogen peroxide. Just don't add acetone to the tank. |

This is excellent news.
I think we should split this thread into two sub-threads.
One to argue over how much a 1500 hp, turbine-engined kart should weigh before we allow it to compete in TaG Sr.
The other thread should be about the relative safety of such a kart, especially when mixing acetone into the hydrogen peroxide fuel
Does this motor even have an electric starter? We should redefine the meaning of TaG to mean touch and go - if you touch the gas on this monster it's gonna GO! _________________ Chaz Clover

Well I'm all for including this package in the Tag class, providing we stick with rear only brakes! |

Check out this site: www.turbokart.com . These guys have made a couple sweet turbine karts. These would probably have a little better throttle control. I wouldnt want to be behind either of them though! I also think nomex would be mandatory with these things 'flying' around the track.
