There's going to be a race in Decatur, AL on October 27th for anyone interested. SKUSA Dixie is planning on racing there next season so this would be a great trial run to get a grip on the track. The track is located behind BTK Motorsports and is officially called "The River City Speedway". Here's some info from one of the organizers...
"The "speedway" is a smooth 1/2 mile, twelve turn sprint track. It has everything from tight hairpins, s-turns, fast off camber sweeper, carousel, two 70-75 mph straight-aways, as much brake and gearbox as you can use, and even a little elevation. Twenty laps around this track will definitely get the ticker working a little." Greg Loney Entry Fee $30, Pit Pass $10, Spectator $5. WKA Rules, Muffler required Race #1 Junior Lite (ages 8-12) Race #2 Briggs Stock Med/Heavy Race #3 Yamaha 100cc Med/Heavy Race #4 Rotax Max Challenge Race #5 80cc/125cc Gearbox Trophies and Cash Prizes.
