Wilson Motorsports Inc, Alan Wilson is responsible for the design of tracks around the world. You can see his latest design by going to www.beaverun.com The Beaver Run Motorsports complex will include a 4 mile road course, skid pad, training area and 7/10 mile kart track. The track is being built in western PA about 45 miles from Pittsburg and less than 1 1/2 hour drive from Cleveland. Feel free to call me or e-mail the track for Mr Wilson's numbers. Also schedueling information for the kart track can be obtained by calling Team Effort Motorsports at 330-940-2745 or e-mail me directly. We also have 2 weekends set aside on the road course for karting events for 2002.

To Michael Coello,

You are right in every respect. I actually thought of several of those items, including the pit in/out design and the dropoffs adjacent to the track. I honestly don't know what I was thinking when I posted that.

I believe I was taken by the elevation changes, track width, and the setting. I've done most of my racing on tracks that don't share those qualities, so it stuck out.

Great post, thank you.

Glenn

Don, thanks for your post recommending Alan Wilson. I have been aware of him for some time and his work is highly rated. I believe I had initially told the promoters at Beaver Run about both Alan and Tom Argy when I spoke with them about six months ago. Alan is also the designer for the new facility in Grand Junction and they have been pleased with Alan.

Incidentially, did you know Alan is married to the famous Desire, one of my favorite female drivers!

I am trying to locate Bob Bernard's phone number. He is one of the best Track designers in the World. I think his last track redesign was Road Atlanta. His pricing for kart tracks is VERY inexpensive. Also, Bill Sisley in the UK is known as the best kart track designer in the world but he is very expensive (Around 80k for total track design w/o travel expenses) I will post these contact numbers as soon as I locate them.

Thank you Jeremy. I will keep their phone numbers in my file if you can locate. This could be provided to the multi million dollar project promoters who call which are very few and far in between! If you know of any reasonably priced people, let me know as well because this is the bulk of promoters I hear from.
