I awakened my CR80 out of its winter slumber yesterday. After running the engine about a minute or so, I noticed a small drip coming from just under the water pump. I believe it was coming from the small hole on the underside. After a couple more minutes, it was dripping at a rate of a drop every 3-5 seconds or so. It's definitely not coming from a hose connection or side cover. Do I have a pump problem?

This is a common CR problem. There is a seal that the water pump shaft goes through and the hole is an air hole.

Pretty simple repair, drain, remove pump cover, remove impellor, pop out seal, install new seal, replace parts, fill and burp the system.

You need the seal and a water pump gasket.

Number 3 and number 10 in this picture and also there is a copper washer that is a good thing to change #5

Check the pump drive shaft for corrosion while it's apart. If it's corroded at the seal surface, you need a new shaft, or it will eat new seals quickly.
