Birel: How to remove bearing in the spindle

Hi, I would like to know how can I remove the bearings (2 of them) from the spindle?!

Its the 6th image.

There are 2 bearing on each side, in between there is a spacer, so how to get bearings out of the spindle?
I think you cannot push one bearing into the whole, so the other can go out? Is there any circlip under each bearing?

Do I have to move the spacer way, and with some tool to knock the bearing out (from one side to another)?

The spacer will move just enough so you can get a punch on the inner race, knock out one side and then the other. As a rule, you should never hit a bearing on the inner race, so they will be junk after you get them out.

I doubt that by "hitting" the bearing with a punch, it will come out undamaged. Its ruined anyway, I have to replaced all 4 with new ones.

The removal process is always destructive; anyway, why would you want to remove a good bearing?

To place new bearings, heat the bare spindle in an over to ~275 degrees for 30 minutes. The steel will expand just enough to give you a slip-fit. Lube the outer bearing surface with grease or anti-seize before insertion. You will have ~5 minutes out of the oven to install both bearings. If you need to press the bearing in, do not tap on the ID - this will guarantee a failure. Only tap on the OK race of the bearing.

Bearings are not good any longer.
I got the bearings out successfully, but...
anyone knows where to get these bearings? They cannot be bought in any store, because they dont have any particular number (like 629ZZ or something). But they do have dimensions: 8x26x8.

Maybe from some place in Europe, or in US, but they ship to Europe.

Those bearings are readily available from any kart shop or industrial supply store. In most cases these bearings are a "shielded" bearing, but you can use a sealed one as well, they are easier to find.

I always buy my bearings on ebay. Just spend some time finding the best price including shipping. Might even be direct from China. How they can charge so little for shipping I will never know....

I just purchased a pack of 10 bearings for my spindles for 6.50 shipped.

BTW, are you sure they are 8x26? I remember my spindle bearings for my older kart with 8mm kingpins being the common skate bearing size, 8x22. Infact, I took some bearings out of an old pair of skates to put in my spindles once.

Yes, I am sure its 8x26 (with hole diameter of 8mm).
