The Simraceway Performance Karting Center at Sonoma Raceway proudly presents Grand Prix Karting: the bay area's newest racing sensation. Grand Prix Karting arrive and drive racing events will take place Wednesday evenings from 3pm to 7pm, starting March 13th and ending November 13th 2013. The kart race nights will be pairing up with the popular Wednesday Night Drag Races and Sonoma Drift. The calendar can be found at: pdc.simraceway.com/programs/karting/calendar
The Simraceway Performance Karting Center offers a .76-mile road course with 11 turns featuring hairpin corners, and full throttle sweepers. The Grand Prix Karts are comprised of a Stratos chassis with adjustable seats and pedals, a protective bumper system, roll bar and seat belts. The Grand Prix Kart is powered by a 9 horse power Honda GX270 which propels the Grand Prix Kart to a top speed of 40+ mph on the race track.
