Lets say you have access to a chassis dyno to work with for a day Smile
What type of things would you test to get the most out of the time?
Timing, pipes, squish bands, jetting, silencers, fuel?????????

I’m assuming this is a shifter. I would like to know what the RPM’s should be after I shift. After the shift, I would want the RPM’s to be right at peak torque. Header length. 1/8” can make a difference. Jetting needs a lot of work. If you’re using an EGT, getting it as high as possible, on the low speed, then at the high speed, is a good thing. And I would want to know what the air density was at those temps.
Fuel octane is important. You don’t want to much, or to little. I’m assuming you know that octane is not a measure of how much power a fuel can make. It’s only a measure of a fuels ability to resist detonation.
In that order.

Depending on what you want to get out of the test session. If you run in a class that the engine is "stock moto" If allowed to change. Check reed cages, pipes, carbs,. Also get a couple chains from different mfg's. Check after the run if your wheel bearings are getting hot, brake rotor is getting hot. Have the them sample on "de-accleration". Coasting, this will show you the drag in hp. The hp you see on de-accleration is the same HP you need to over come on acclerating. So if you can reduct this number you will have more HP on the track.
Remember if a bearing or rotor is getting hot this could be a sign of a bad bearing, brakes that are not releasing,if the chain is hot after the pull, it could be NG.

If the engine is "open" there are a lot of things you can test as you mention.
Good luck with your testing.
