I have a used front-braked GP6/7 chassis with a WF motor in mind (later, possibly a Swissauto 250 - hence the front brakes).
I know I'll need to remove the front brakes if I want to race but I've got a lot of track days to do first. Will the front brakes hinder me being able to find a setup that works with the low HP (i.e. narrow up the front end)? Can I even buy new stub axles for GP? My older Top Kart has a hub that can slide on the axle for width adjustment - the front braked GP hubs look fixed at the end of the axle only. Would new non-braked front axles come with all the castor/camber adjustment and have sliding hubs?
I've got 6" and 7.1" wheels for the back. I guess GP has it's own pattern for fronts so my Top Kart fronts probably won't exchange with it.
It has a 50mm axle in there - but already has a key for inboard carrier mount and good clearance. Not sure of it's hardness - but presume 50mm is not a problem. My closest track is Infineon which I think is medium grip. I am 180lb.
Cheers!

As a followup I did take the front hubs and calipers off and the 17mm spindle underneath has about the same dimensions as a non braked one so guess there's no big issue here (other than seeing the empty caliper mount bracket). _________________ GP8 CRF250R shifter
