A bit of footage of the morning practice session from the Chris Horsley Memorial Road Race Classic from Sonoma Raceway on Thanksgiving weekend. Footage is courtesy of James Francis. James had the misfortune of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. (Behind my kart) This video just goes to show how quickly things can change road racing...

Sheez, glad everyone's OK.
James did a good job at decision time, but I have felt for a while that accident avoidance ought to be a required class for most every road race newcomer. _________________ Team Stooge 66

Martin, I guess unfortunately, it comes from experience. Which is one of the reasons why I posted this video. Things happen REAL fast out there.
James was directly behind me when I spun and flipped at Oregon Raceway Park back in May. He had to pull my kart off of me... My black cloud has rained on him a bit this year. He's going to be taking "kart 32 avoidance" classes!

Wow Kerry, glad you & James are alright, minus the bruises. That's a hard shunt. I was wondering for sometime why your kart was bare at Sonoma. Terrible luck.. but again goes to show road racers look out for each other while on track & try to avoid the impossible. _________________ www.youtube.com/dcworld74 |

As long as we're posting unintentional mishap videos, here's one
Not a crash video, per se, but crash avoidance! Last fall at Roebling Road Animal 385 race. Still got third place.
