Rib Protectors

Has anyone used the Sparco VS Rib Protector? I can't seem to find any reviews on it, maybe it's just new to the market?

Over the years we have sold many different types of rib protectors but the one brand that has always worked well for our customers is Ribtect. Our staff uses Ribtect and nothing else.

Rib problems can occur through many different circumstances of which the most common I believe to be is a poor fitting seat, or a seat that is too tight.

When fitting yourself for a seat you must wear your rib protector. If not, the seat will be too tight. If its too tight your ribs have no additional movement before separating or breaking in the event you slap a curb or get knocked around a bit.

I got an Arox rib vest from IMUSA. Fit like a glove the 1st time I tried it & no issues at all. Wear it & drive.

I don't think you can say any product is "superior" on something that's so subjective. Not everybody's body is the same. RibTect is a fine product, no doubt and works very well for most, but not everyone. Sparco, Tillett and Freem are pretty popular in Europe, take from that what you may.

I borrowed a K1 carbon type last year and it worked well, but I'd definately like more feel. This year I plan on shedding 25lbs and will probably go with a Tillett if funds permit. I'd like to get back to the same level of feel I had 10 years ago.

Mike raised good points too, it not just the rib vest, its how your seat works with it. All important factors.
Suffice to say I don't think you would be disappointed by any of the brands mentioned in this thread. OMP is another one to consider too.
