Anyeone know the procedure and spec for timing a clone. I've got the aluminum flywheel there is no key used so I'm assuming the flywheel position on the taper sets the timing. I just don't know how many degrees or mm BTDC to set it?

I thought the key was spec?
If not you can go to Jimbo's tech page
http://fastermotors.net/HELPTOPICS.html
and use the "in the hole" method although you will need to know the exact point on the flywheel where your ignition fires. Just don't tell him you're working on a clone....
If you're using an ARC flywheel just call them and ask to speak with Hunter, he'll set you up.

Thanks Yes it's an ARC flywheel and offset keys are available for timing. We got this engine "race ready" and apperantly they lap the flywheel then use a degree wheel to set the timing and don't use a key. They must have made a mistake on this one because the timing is definetly off. I'll just get the key and set it up that way.
