|
|
| I have been playing Simraceway and driving the karts for the most part. Does anyone else here play this game? I am told they are working on some setup/physics changes on the karts right now. The new updates should be out in about a week. The staff also likes the idea of adding shifter karts. Just wondering what some others here have thought about this game/sim when it comes to kart racing. |

Have you tried Kart Racing Pro? Its a dedicated kart simulation. What I prefer about it is its designed for karting, as opposed to other sims which are designed for a sprung suspension and then adapted to karts. The set-up pages cover everything you'd use to tune your kart using karting terminology.
All that said, I have not tried the SimRaceway kart. |

Kart Racing pro is much better as far as the physics and tuning of the kart. I think I will be able to learn some things from it that will apply to real racing. I do like the variety of tracks available for download from other users. Looks like a few of the good US tracks are in the works.
It does lack the following though of Simraceway with maybe a handful of people racing at anytime. Hopefully in the near future they add in more non multi-player races. Simraceway was nice in the fact it was not at all uncommon to race against 6+ people at a time. |

| I have been using rFactor for the past year or so, and the latest release of the "World Karting" mod (version 2.1 i think) is VERY good. I would highly recommend trying the mod if you already have rFactor! |

Nothing comes close to KRP right now, however its physics are based around a sprung body. You can try the demo for free.
If kartsim ever moves from being vaporware things might change, but until the.....................
StreetKart, despite the silly name might be worth a look, again though so far all they have released is facebook status updates. _________________ CES Grattan pre-entry is open. TaG, Shifter, KPV, KT100, Animal\LO206, enduro or superkart.

| Does the full version of KRP have a TaG kart with no front brakes? |

Well it has a KF3 which is about as close as you'll get I guess. Otherwise drive the KF1 without the front anchors. _________________ CES Grattan pre-entry is open. TaG, Shifter, KPV, KT100, Animal\LO206, enduro or superkart.
