| East Lansing Kart Track is the closest sprint track to SE MI. Point Pelee in Canada has a nice track too and is not that far across the boarder. Otherwise, Beaver Run or New Castle are both world class and within driving distance. Oh, and there is a track in Jackson that runs some sprint stuff to I think. |

This is also a non-active kidney shaped track in Palmyra, Mi which is for lease / sale. _________________ Mark Silverberg

I would definately recommed East Lansing Kart Track
www.karttrack.com
fun, tight 1/2 mile road course - lots of big trees for shade, very family friendy, good competition -
it is a drivers track - they run Sundays - draw for starting positons for the two heats- finishing positon in heats for starting postion in the feature -
so you get lots of practice passing if you draw a low number and have to work your way up through the field
2 hr practice Sun mornings - usually out by 4 pm
We have raced there in JR Sportsman for 5 years -
Danica, Sam Hornish, Sarah Fisher all raced there in their karting days - |

I think most have been mentioned but I didn't see Flatrock. It's run by the Thunderbird Kart Club. It incorperates the infield and oval. Some rough transition areas.
Fremont is a great track about an hour south. Great prices but low kart count. I think a diamond in the rough.
Point Pelee is just over the border in Canada. Very well run. Their Battle of the Border race was a lot of fun and they had a local business provide breakfast and pot luck dinner for racers as well.
Jackson gets a good turn out in the Can classes but it's a cement track and has some real surface roughness issues.
Palmyra was the track we started on. Great little track with god people and great prices. It's currently for sale and would be a great little track for someone to bring back to life.
Lansing gets a real good turn out but is more expensive than most others.
For bigger track stuff you have a couple Michigan Kart Club races held at Waterford Hills and the biggie at MIS.

What class of kart do you have? While not a dedicated kart track, Grattan is a must visit in my opinion, very challenging track. _________________ Live in the midwest and have a TaG, Shifter, KPV, KT100, Animal\LO206, enduro or superkart?

Checkout www.RacingWhere.com for listing of series/tracks/events. Features US map with all tracks + track maps and onboard videos for each track.
There are currently 115+ sprint tracks listed. I'm sure there are more, let me know what's missing. _________________ Where are YOU Racing?
