I plan to switch from a KT100 to a World Formula during the winter break. I would really appreciate any sort of guide, how-to, advice, parts list, etc. on swapping in a WF engine. I'm sure some of you have already made the swap. Thanks in advance!

Note: I'm not looking for a discussion of "x" engine vs WF engine. Please, leave that for another thread.

One thing I found is some 2 stroke chassis won't easily accept a 4 stroke because of the diagonal cross tube being further back on the engine side.
Hits the chain. Seat mount tubes can also be in the way.

Will there be an allowance for a jack shaft like the Burris piece?

Took some fnagling to get the WF to fit Birel C-28 Cadet. custom motor mount. Where the Mini max dropped right in as did the KT-100.

I'll be working with a C-28. What do you mean by custom motor mount? I'm sure others will be putting WFs on C-28s.

Had to take a 2 piece Burris mount and really off-set it and drill new holes between the plates tap and bolt together.

Most of my fanageling was trying to make it work without starting from scratch. and trying different motor mounts, inclined flat, all sorts. I think the one I finally settled on and drilled is a 5 degree 2 piece Burris.

Clutch gear is outboard the clutch drum and pretty close to the seat and seat stay.

The Gen 5 should provide more driver elbow room as the earlier gen plastic cover is a "real elbow bumper".

Or, you could just invest in the perfect World Formula chassis that's won 3 National Championships... Wink

BTW, the seat struts on the Arrow AX-9 4S are located slightly closer to the front (compared to our Kosmic and other chassis) which made it easier for Julian to be very small in a full size chassis.

EDIT: we may hang on to the Arrow for Carson to drive locally, but with the possibility of the Arrow w/ World Formula available in a couple of seasons.
