Jeff,
I'd love to brag that it did indeed go that fast.....but I'd be lying!
149 was H2O temp, bottom left is the speedo. It went 126
Not sure this clip shows any tuning but the blue dial on the steering wheel is my MasterTune, I gave it 4 FULL turns and got no response from the EGT! Watch it again, you'll see 800 degrees and change on the EGT (upper left)....it was super fat and struggled to make MPH and rev's in 6th gear. Last year I stuck this engine at 1220.
Mike,
There IS some concrete in the infield along with plastic barriers. If your refering to the first left in the infield it is more than 90 deg, 1st gear for us (laydowns) and lots of run off there. Because it's tighter than it looks you really have to get slowed down in a straight line. Easy to get off the outside there but unless you had zero brakes....and had help......you'd be very unlikely to hit any wall out there.
My biggest complaint, and there were many, was the lack of referance to the coned area of the oval. I and many others asked for cones or solo cups stuck through the fencing at normal 100 ft intervals but got no response from the club. Because of that I held out practicing more asking guys coming off if any changes were made out there. I used a scrap of paper up by the wall during the race and hoped the wind didn't move it!!!!!!!
After a year of planning I expected a better production.

Robert is that the HD hero or the HD hero2? Looks really good. Do you have like the first 10mins of the race when we were near each other or when you were catching me after I did my half spin and screwed up my clutch? _________________ Jeremy Baldi

Robert,
I was referring to the last left turn in the infield before getting back onto the oval.
I figured it was ok but could not tell from video.

Mike your right, that wall is concrete and in an area where you could contact it. I believe someone did get into it on Saturday. Like most Speedways you'll get that.
Jer,
This camera is a VIO pov with a remote lens. The "camera" portion is about the size of a 10 year old cell phone! It's nice though, wireless remote control...volume control....all kinds of gizmos to play with. It even has a screen right on it.
Check it out: http://pointofviewcameras.com/vio-pov-hd-camera.html?gclid=CP77n-eV97ICFQVgMgodQF4ARw
It looks really good on the big screen here in the lobby. Super sharp even on a 60".
I have all of the first 33 minutes, Nick is playing with it and should have it up in it's entierty at Kart2Kart.com soon. Once I could see that it was you ahead I started running the apron trying to make ground. There may be a lap or 2 of that before it shut off.

Mike,
I stand corrected! The barrier in question was Armco with plastic barrier in front of it. I'm told a 100cc laydown that ran in the Unlimited race group got off there and made contact. I'm also told it was caught on film (stills) by the photo team at the event. Go to prophotobob.com and look through them, I'm sure you'll find it.
Jeffy,
It's a sweet camera, you'll have to run me through how to set the damn volume so I don't get as much wind noise! My Boss gave me this unit, said he tried it once and didn't like it! Just for S&G......what did it cost?????
Thinking about Daytona....... we'll see.
