Which oil is better for the engine, full synthetic or castor-synthetic blend or full castor? Also, if one of them is 'bad', why?
Thanks

From searching the archives here and talking to kart shops synthetic seems to get the vote. Some people have had trouble with Castor gumming things up and I beleive the Rotax manual says synthetic as well. (Don't have it at work with me though)

I've run both. The manual does recommend a quality synthetic. Now the best one to run is....Let the games begin.

With castor, I had to clean the power valve after every practice, and it would be really nasty.
I run full synthetic now, and it seems to run better, and the power valve is cleaner even after running two practice sessions without cleaning.

Go to your local Sea-Doo dealer and purchase the high-perf. syn. oil made for the Rotax engine in the Sea-Doo. Mix 3 to 3.5 oz. per gal.
