West Bend 580

Hello to the group. I recently sign-up for an account on this forum.

I wanted to contact the group about the West Bend 580 engines. I haven't raced karts for about 25 years, needless to say, I've been away from the sport for a while.

I have a pair of West Bend 580 engines that are complete and have great compression. Both engines do run. I also have a couple of spare carbs.

My question to the group - is there still a market for these engines? If so how much are the engines selling for?

I suggest you look at the VKA and R.E.A.R vintage kart web sites to post your question. The short answer is yes the WB580 engines are still in use in vintage karting activities and there is a market for them. They sell for $200 to $450 on ebay on a regular basis depending on condition and specs.
