Sure hope to see a large field. Who's racing? I'll be there.

I've contacted RIGP and suggested a LO206 weight change to 375#. They will consider it and I'm sure racer input would be appreciated.

WOW! Check out the Briggs/RIGP announcement on either website. Briggs steps up big time !!! All the more reason to support those that support the sport.

Hey guys,

Not familiar with the rules. We can basically take the engine out of the box, bolt it on and race, correct?

Yep,

Don't let anybody tell you that there's a "special" LO206 you need to be competitive....

Cheers,

You can download the rules from the Briggs site. Only thing you have to add to the engine is header, muffler, air cleaner ,and clutch/chain guard. Do check the rules because the parts you have to add are specific.

Thanks to Roger at RIGP for adding me into the class
If you haven't raced this event you should. For me it is a "bucket list" event

What clutch do you guys recommend? And I assume most tracks run pump gas, like RIGP will be doing?

I like the original Max Torque six shoe clutch. It's not fancy but with a few tricks you can make it work as good as anything Wink

Cheers,

Having never been there but relying on good info I'll be in the 17/56 area to start with.

I thought the B&S rules said 3 shoe maximum, are the rules different for RIGP?

You are correct. I didn't catch that John mentioned 6 shoe clutch. The Briggs rule does spec 3 shoes,9 springs max. I actually use the Draggin Skin that meets that spec.
