|
|
I was on RLVs site looking at some carb settings for what I'm assuming is the HL-360A carb. They mention Enzo Needles and after searching a bit I found the Enzo carb:
http://www.prd.com.tw/img/PRD%20Engine%20NEWS%20LETTER%20004%202010.pdf
The venturi bore is about .015" larger than the 360A and I was just wondering if this is legal to use in TaG and if that amount of difference is even significant in terms of performance gains / losses.
Since the difference between the HL-166 and the 360A venturi bores are .320" and .250" difference in throttle bore, I'm guessing .015 isn't much.
So what is the point of this carburettor? Is it cheaper than the Tillotson? |

Gotta love that Chinese engineering skill and ingenuity! Pretty close to the same carb that I have on my 1960 vintage Mc 6

| i wouldnt think it would make a huge difference maybe just a slight difference at high rpm. |

Right Stephen, I don't design engines / carburettors so I wouldn't know how significant a difference .015" makes. Obviously it's going to have some impact, but I doubt it's going to be 5-10hp from an educated guess.
If it's made in China that kind of out weighs any potential gains for me. I know pretty much everything is made in China these days and their cars are getting better and better...buuuuut I'm not going to gamble if this is the case.
Oh well... |

Enzo Needles are inexpensive replacement needles for the HL-360 and HL-166 carb. both have really nice tuning handle marked with large letters “H” and “L”.
