Correct chassis

I havent raced in 15 yrs,this spring i will start over,iam 6feet tall 200 punds,is a lite chassia like the birel ar4 too lite? as far as flexing? is anyone familiar with the birel chassis,or can anyone recommend a good chassis? thanks.

I don't think the Birel would be the best for 4-cycle here in the U.S., you should check the chassis in Bob's 4-cycle.com.

IMHO, you need to locate a good kart shop.
Yes, the AR-4 is a good chassis, but, you didn't state where or what you intend to run.
I have seen some Ar-4's running 80ccJr. and running very well.
Back to my point, your success will come quicker with help. Especially if the help knows the equipement.
This is more important than picking red vs. yellow or blue.

best kart I think is M.S.karts work good at suger river on SL4 brigg lite kc racing is a distributor in ocon. wis

I have never seen an AR4 run so I can't comment on it. I agree with John though. Karts have changed a LOT just in recent years so if you have been out for a long time it will help you more to get up to speed if you find someone that can help you with whatever kart you buy.

We have been running the WKA Gold Cup sprint series and the most popular karts right now are Bandit, Coyote, and Invader. There are others too but these seem to be the most popular and you could probably get the most help with these.

The best chassis for 4-cycle racing is deffanitely a Invader. Jeff Nelson is extremely smart with karts. I used to drive for him myself and won several I.K.F. National championships with his chassis. Invader is deffanitely the easiest 4-cycle chassis to tune in, and reacts to changes. Defanitely consider there chassis. We have three birels and they are great for us. For a 4-cycle i would use the ar4.

i have an AT130 Birel. It's a great chassis for 4 cycle. But if you are relatively new the torsion bar aspect can be pretty confusing. I agree that you should talk to someone in your area and see what's being run at your local track. You don't want a kart that doesn't have any distributors nearby.

Where I race in hot lap someone flipped and left the track so this kid was left bye him self. He was JR1 B/s durning heat one he ran with the JR2s B/S and he had all 6 of them passt in .25 mile he ran a briel. They couldnt keep up with him and the clostes dealer around here is MRP in Mich. Its doesnt matter what you run as long as you know how to tune. I personly Run a Birel IN JR 2 Yamaha. We are the only two birels around.
