I saw this somewhere else and the guy got nothing back anybody know
OK I give up!
Does anyone *know* the effects of different header pipe lengths on a GX160k1 Honda, on a sprint track? I always thought you use a shorter pipe on a longer track, and vise-versa.
Under Canadian rules a GX160 will rev 5800-6200. We have to use 1"od tube, from 8" to 12" long, then we put a RLV B-91 silencer on over the last inch.
Some guidelines would be of help... Just how long is a short track, and when is a track a long track?
Is it possible to gain 400 rpm just by trimming 1.25" off a pipe?? Or do I just cut it off at 10 inches? |
