Every kart I've ever owned has had your standard steel axle bearings, however my new (used) chassis came with ceramic axle bearings. I had a decent off track excursion last time out, and it's time to clean and relube anyways. Should I be using anything specific? I figure the bearing races are probably ceramic (and porous), and might need extra care to avoid absorbing anything nasty from a solvent.
In the past, I've always used mineral spirits or a similar light solvent to clean, and then relubed with white lithium grease. _________________ GP10/CR125
