I've find a RM engine of 1997 , an engine that has been in a garage for 10 years !
A lot of things are different when I compaire with my other RM's. The carb has black floats with metal inserts , other style atomizer and K54 needle.
Can somebody tell me when the first RM was launched ? Like to know some history. |

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rotax_Max says started in 1998! What I'd really like to know is how many have been made/sold since then. _________________ Where are YOU Racing?

They were certainly available in 1997 in Europe.
I bought a used Max in early '98.
The earliest engines are recognisable by their rougher "sand cast" crankcases. _________________ Chad

Peter, I would say the first job is to fix that leak in the garage roof _________________ Dellorto, Mikuni and Keihin Jetting & Kart Set-up Software
