Who say's CIK/FIA rules are any better than ours?
Some rules such as the beadlock rule in one of your posts should be commonsense especially for Formula E/Unlimited (twin cylinder 250cc).
Simple rules and less of them should be the goal. |

themselves. We can't hold races if the racers don't show up to support the club. I want to race and would like to race
Amen to that! we hope some of our club officials in this other end of the country recognize who ultimately is paying the bills!
Afterall, paying $30K-$50K a weekend for enduro racing, atleast in our neck of the woods, is no peanuts. and if we can't come up with uniform set of rules, and better class structure (not breaking up classes), the future of enduro racing does not look very bright. |

Debbie K, you can count on having a set of rules revisions from us for the IKF BOD meeting. Weather they can find their way down the road map we give them will be of great interest to many of us.

| JR-I'd love to have them as early as possible so I can talk them over with the others in the committee. I believe in being prepared and able to voice sound arguments so there won't be any poo-pooing or outright dismissal come October. Also, early would help in case there are any questions to ask of you and yours! Deb K |

I'm pretty sure Ardy is talking about track rental. The numbers are not that bad on the west coast (although I've heard Sears Point is ~$25k for a desireable weekend). The bottom line in road race is that the tracks are terribly expensive to rent, we need good turnouts or else the entry fees will get crazy in order to pay for the track.

Debbie, we will do our best to get the updates to you as soon as possible. We certainly wouldn't want IKF to get left in the pits while everyone else is running the 2002 version of the IC/E and F/E rules now would we!?

Tim
The expenses cover a race weekend.. track rentals vary from track to track. i.e. Road America and Mid-Ohio rentals are noticeably different than most others.. Also, some events are 2 days and others 3 days. which would be more cost. These also cover workers expense, tow, ambulances, etc.. These expenses have been going up every year! As tim said, this is a concern, more so for us in the East and midwest areas, as we only have a 6-months window (in most places) to race. which means these tracks are in high demand by all motor sports events. karting is usually at the bottom of the food chain. If we don't improve our events, we can not afford one day events as is the case with some of the west coast enduro events. There will be no one day events for us in the east/midwest areas. we simply be out of the track date. |
