skipping to desired page

Is there a way to skip ahead or back when searching? For instance, I just did a search on the Memberlist for people in my state, New Mexico. So I did a sort on location, went to page 879 and paged back many many times to get to New Mexico. I guessed by looking at the number of pages that New Mexico would be somewhere around page 800. It turned out to be 814. So, is there a way to designate a page and go to it?

Once you have the member list window up, select a page other than the first page. Then your URL in the browser will be similar to below - this example is a Page 2:

http://www.ekartingnews.com/memberlist.php?mode=joined&order=ASC&start=20

Note the final paramter: start=20
This is the index into the list that then it takes the next record and starts the list in the window with record 21.

So once you have that in the window, just replace the 20 with other numbers and hit enter and the browser will go there and that might approximate where you want to be - like 15000, or 8000, or something like that. It is a bit of trial and error, but it can zero you in on a just a couple of pages fairly quickly.

Roger, thanks for the suggestion. I tried it and it worked with just a little trial and error like you said. It's much better than how I was going about it.
