I am putting my first Rotax engine together. Everything goes smoothly except the factory recommend length of impulse line. The manual says the impulse line should not be longer than 25 cm, so I cut a 25 cm fuel line. It is way too short and I doubt the recommend length is a misprint.

I put a much longer impulse line, but I don't know if this would affect the performance.

yeah, for some reason 25cm just isn't long enough. -Looks like an error in the manual.

Just make it as short as you can get away with, without having the tube bending abruptly.

30cm or 12" seems to be about as short as you can cut it and still have it fit without kinking.

Are we allowed to use a 'hard' type of tubing for the pulse line? Something like brass or copper tubing. Of course using rubber/plastic to connect to the pump and engine.
