Clark, do you happen to know the normal daily WKC race schedule? Can those of us who want to run NESKS race and WKC shifter races be accomodated? Some time between the races on Saturday, and maybe an early shifter race Sunday, so we can get home before we ned to show up to work on monday? |

I don't think there's been a lot of work on the schedule yet, but that should start soon. I'm sure the WKC will setup the daily schedule so your guys can run with us, and our guys can run with you. I suspect our Pres, Rodney Smith and Mike will be working out the details.
As soon as the details are worked out, we'll likely all know together.
I do know that running together where ever possible is the intent. |

Is anyone interested in sharing transportation to Summit Point? I have a 40' tri-axle trailer that can fit about 8 karts plus our tool box and support equipment. If there are enough people interested in sharing the costs, ill drive it. I'm located on Long Island, but will consider driving it to CT to pick up if there's enough interest to warrant it. PM me if interested.
I was just thinking..... It could probably fit more like 20 karts.... The more the merrier..... |

I might be interested too, although I won't be sure what I'll do until about a month from now.

Enzo, where are LI are you located?
Chuck where are you located?
As I said... The more the merrier, it's a double deck trailer, so Karts can on top, stands, tools, tires etc, can all go down low. Lets try to get as many as possible to make it worth it for all, including the owner of the rig. If it works out, I have 58' race hauler with a shop and a lounge that we can take to Daytona for WKA next December!! |

Michael,
If I had to guess, I would say around 250 per person for the round trip includes fuel, tolls, wear and tear etc. I'll drive it myself so we don't have to pay a driver. However, we need to find about 10 people who want to do it in order to cover all costs. As far as coming to CT to pick up, It adds about 4 hours of driving to the trip, so hopefully you can get several people from up that way to chip in.

Our race shop is in Hauppauge, so if this works out to take the trailer, it should be relatively easy for you. Do you know of others from the island that may be interested? |

I've been studying the WKC layout for Shenandoah and I'm still struggling to understand why the 3 chicanes are not being utilized. I feel like the track would be so much more interesting for karts with them included. The WKC layout looks like it will just be pretty much wide open the whole time |

Maxwell, it's not a sprint track, but more like a very tight sports car track--- very tight for cars. You'll find it is NOT wide open all the time, believe me. I suspect you will find it's much faster then you're use to, but for us road racers it's a lot slower then we're use to.
As far as the chicanes go, we've tried a bunch of different layouts and those just make the track a little too Mickey Mouse for our taste.
You'll understand more when you get there.
As I've posted before, there is a video of Shenandoah in a Leopard posted at the bottom of the WKC website. Keep in mind it's a Leopard. You should be right at 100-101 MPH on the straight with your shifter, the Leopard right at 90. The shifter will also be 10 sec a lap quicker.
Hope that helps,
Clark Sr. |

Is the Feature going to be a 30 minute "timed" race or 20 laps?
Start procedure = Regular F1 standing start , Le Man single file backed against wall start or rolling grid start? _________________ #8 CRG JWR Maxter

| Ed, I beleive there would be two separate races, NESKS will be the regular format (quali, heat, feature), WKC their own regular format, that is what I think Mike said when I asked before. |
