What is the weight for this class? Is assumption that WKA rules are used correct? What is the difference in WKA rules from SKUSA other then no timing plate, 99 cylinder only? does WKA rewuire stock reeds, or just stock reed cage? Would like to run the WKC race as well as the NESKS race in May.
Thank You. |

Have you checked the WKA website? I think WKA/WKC rules are one and the same (but don't quote me on that). _________________ Team Stooge 66

You should be able to find last year's basic rules here:

That is correct, the WKC follows the WKA with rules on all National classes. I'd suggest getting a copy of the 2013 Tech Manual. It has all the info you'll need. I'm pretty sure you can order them from the WKA website.
A couple of years back we stopped listing all the class rules in our handbook. Now we just refer to the WKA tech manual for National class info. We only spell out the rules for our Local Option classes.
We're a WKA affiliate club, so we run under WKA rules and insurance. Also, to run with us, you will need to be a WKA member or a temp member for race weekends.
Hope that helps,

The class weight is 390.
Timing supposed to be 0, you can use the SKUSA plate, stock plate, whatever as long as its basically 0.
Reeds are open, no 2 stage reeds, must use stock 99 cage. Stock stiffeners must be in place.
For the most part SKUSA and WKA have similar rules, with a few exceptions. SKUSA allowed 01 cylinders, WKA does not. SKUSA requires all factory seals, bearings, gaskets. WKA does not( no ceramic bearings, exception is head gasket both orgs OEM only). WKA allows polishing of trans gears and such, SKUSA does not. There may be some other differences but I think that's about it. _________________ Bear #13

Thank You Byron. One more follow up. what does "0" timing mean. Usually it all the way to one side until you can not rotate it anymore with stock plate. Is "0" somewhere in the middle of stock adjustment range?
Thanks again. |

0, as in 0 degrees advanced. If you have all the factory plates still installed there should be a line on the stator plate that should be in alignment with the triangle shaped marker on the case. When looking at the engine on the lh side( where the stator is) its on the lower left of the stator, near the harness cut out in the case. _________________ Bear #13
