| I'm replacing my jug on my cr125 and I have a new one. How do I remove the studs that hold the head onto the cylinder so that I can transfer them onto my new jug? Same question with the exhaust manifold studs. |

Double nut the stud. I use a cylinder nut on the bottom and a nylock nut on top. Tighten both nuts together and twist the thing off. Might need to add some heat to soften any loc-tite that might have been used.
There's probably better methods, but it works for me. _________________ Randy

Randy's suggestion will work.....having said that, I didn't bother on the two I recently rebuilt. New studs from Honda are not very expensive. |

There's stud removal tools for that. I got a set off my snap on truck.
I'm sure you can buy them for other tool places or online etc.
Double nut works as well but it's nice to have tool too |

You sure like to spend a lot of money. The 2 nut method works and free. Tighten the nuts to each other and put your wrench on the bottom nut and turn. Works every time. _________________ Jeff DeMello

A stud will tell ya that the right tool for the job will always have two nuts dangling nearby. _________________ www.samzavaglia.com |

Come on Enzo you can't get onto a snap on truck without paying a $50 entry fee _________________ Jeff DeMello

| The stud removers I've seen used in our Nissan dealership "bite" into the stud so to speak. They kind of booger up the threads a little making reuse a touchy thing. |
