Recently, I did a search for a video with sprint-style shifters racing with WKC on Shenandoah, and this is the only clip I could find. Which is strange, because I could have sworn they're were more.

If it looks like they're running the track differently from what is shown on the track map, you're right. They don't run the Karussel section. They also shortcut turns 1 & 22 before the pits too. _________________ C. Skowron

I am looking forward to that race more than any other one this year |
I couldn't agree more with Chris. I'm more excited to go to Summit Point than any other track. It's not a typical road course, it's very tight for cars. Though I hope we will run with the chicanes. And for those complaining about the distance, you must remember there are many of us that live south of NYC. Summit Point is closer for me than OVRP. The series needs to travel more in order to grow and become more well recognized in the karting indusry. Every new track the series visits brings with it new drivers, which can only help the future of the series.

After watching the video Chuck posted (thanks Chuck!) it is not the same track I found on the youtubes. Looks fast, very fast. I'll bring extra underwear that weekend. _________________ CKR/KZ

For yalls reference. Stock Honda gearing is in the range of 1.26 +/- a bit depending on preference. KZ/ICC guys remember your guys engines are geared different . 3.15 for Honda. _________________ Bear #13

So is it a + or a -... 18 in front and ither 22 or 23 in the back?
Byron, since you road race a lot, without mods stock CR125 is 18T front the largest gear to clear the case? |

Folks, there's another youtube video posted at the bottom of the Woodbridge Kart Club website. Blue kart, white gloves. It's in a Leopard, so it's a good bit slower, but I think the image may be a little clearer. It's from a helmet cam.
You can likely find a track map on Summit Points website as well, so you'll get an idea of which parts of the track WKC runs.
Hope that helps,
Clark. |

19 tooth front gear will clear the case. Although upon first usage it may interfere at first. It will clearance itself.
The difference between using a 22/23 rear gear and 18 front is quite a gap. You won't be using , or shouldn't be using an 18/22 there. +/- measured in hundredths.
Sorry , before I meant to write 1.29 . 1.26 is a bit too tall. Gear ranges around let's say a 17/22 or so. _________________ Bear #13

OK. 1.29 makes more sence. The original 1.26 was right inbetween the gears and needed "half tooth gears".
Thank You |

Thanks |

The North East Shifter Kart Series is pleased to announce that this season we will be giving away a "Rookie of the Year" award ($500) to one lucky rookie courtesy of our sponsor Queensbury Country Club. In order to qualify, you must run at least 4 out of the 6 races and must be a new comer to the series. More details to follow.
