How does one go about becoming an authorized rotax service center? We have no local support in montana in any karting classes and ive been pushing rotax class here and we have have 6 new rotax karts running in our club. So i was just curious about steps to become an authorized dealer. Little information on this on the web. Thanks for the help.

I would contact the MAXSpeed group who runs Rotax Max through the U.S.

I'm not sure which one of the contacts to email. Perhaps their brand and marketing manager.
Good Luck.

So I called the contact from the maxspeed website. Its pretty legit apparently to be able to service or sell them....the president informed me you have to create a good business plan and present it....how many customers ..projected sales and rebuilds....initial ordering supplies... pictures of your work space...tools.....lot more to it than I would've thought...just figured id share if idea has crossed any one else's minds.

Probably a lot easier ways to make $. I am surprised too at the requirements. But not hard to get back info. 6 customers you have. Maybe 12 at end of season. 3 new engines (if they buy off you at 50% close rate), 8 rebuilds (some will do it themselves or not do it).... Get the drift. Plus buy some engines... They will like that...

Rotax is a lot bigger on the east coast... But I guess the dealers here had to start somewhere. First mover advantage is always good.

Just sayin.

I really like the Rotax engine but seems like the cost and bs you have to endure to race in a Rotax series is driving everyone to Tag or a Leopard only series.

Seem to hold true to being a Rotax Service Center.

You may be better off servicing all engines and only dealing with Rotaxes that don't need to be "sealed".
