Looks like I dodged a bullet. This is the left side crankcase half near the main bearing. Other side looks fine. Have you guys seen this before? Ideas as to cause?

Could that be from over heating the case to get the bearing out? Shocked

It is a curiosity. I think the bearing is the original, because this is the first bottom-end rebuild. I did have a motor mount failure at the front, and ran it an entire heat race with the motor vibrating like crazy. Ran fine and have run it for 2 years since that incident.

The cracks don't go all the way through, however there are similar cracks on the outside (but in a different spot).

Just wondering if anyone has seen this before. Just a bad case of a bad case?
