Mike,

Alex King just got three clutch cables from us and they were delivered to the track this morning. We should also have a couple in the trailer if you still need one. If not, call me at the shop and I'll bring one out tomorrow.

OEM CR500 cable part number 22870-KA5-841. It's longer than 125 and 250 but made the same.

Fits motor and clutch perfect. Has stout housing for great feel.

Put two opposing slots using a cut off wheel just larger enough to slip the cable through. Do this on the lever where it holds the cable and the place where the cable runs through the hub and don't cut the ends off, bullet proof. Put a little safety wire holding the end of the cable at the lever in place. But if you think about which way the cable hangs and put the slots accordingly they never fall out.

The cable needs run under the left side power valve casting(prety sharp bend but the cable can handle it) and it hangs to the side of the tank somewhat but never in the way. HAs in line adjuster.

Less than 20 dollars. And the best feeling clutch you've ever had.

Todd,

I run the same setup. I think I got my first one from a shop called "Shiftwerx" back in the day. Wink

It's amazing My first turn keys came with this in 1996. 14 years ago. Still works. lol

The funny part is still see people re inventing the wheel all this time later.

damn, 14 years thats scary.

I may need to see my resident long timer for advice, Greg Wright lol

Mike, did you ever find the replacement motion pro cable for this cr125 application? I don't need the housing/insulation ..just need a new clutch cable.

Have brought these from Shark before, plenty long enough for CR125 in the kart.
They have never failed me, perfect to replace the frayed end at clutch handle.
You will actually need to cut some down after it's all feed through your outer sheathing and up through the clutch handle. Then solder the end so it doesn't fray again.

You might want one of these too. It does work for the clutch cable and is low profile to clear the steering boss etc.

I received my new clutch cable today from Swedetech and it truly is a mighty fine piece! Maybe TOO fine for SOME of you knuckleheads but none the less, it's a quality cable coming from a quality company! Smile
It's ok Jason, it got here, although late!
BTW, love the hat and decals, thanks!
