LSGP is lowering the minimum weight in the Stock Honda Heavy Class to 405 lbs. We received numerous requests to do this and no opposition to it. Thanks to everyone who contacted us regarding this issue.
The website will be updated regarding the issue shortly.
If you entered the Stock Honda Light Class because of the weight issue and would like to be transferred to the Heavy class please send us an email at lsgp2012@gmail.com and we will be happy to make the transfer. |

MG Tires is onboard as a major sponsor of LSGP 2013.
Given the rate at which entries are being received we will have over 225 entries in 10 classes with 10 states already represented.
Stock Honda Light (S2) is the largest class and 40+ entries are expected in this class.
CRG USA, Champion/Intrepid and DRT Racing have all confirmed their attendance with tent space available if needed. Arrive and drive is also available from them. |

+1
Also, anyone have a big trailer they would be kind enough to let me store my kart in overnight? No enclosed trailer for me and I am thinking I might just bring the truck and no trailer at all for ease. |

Matt, is right. And the best part is that city leaders are there and helping make things right. (Unlike Dallas)

Racers walked and evaluated the LSGP 2013 circuit with members of the LSGP team and Lockhart city leaders. The LSGP team is evaluating all of the input in order to make LSGP 2013 an even better event.
While not all of the street improvements have been completed the universal consensus is that the circuit is smooth, fast and very raceable.
The course as currently configured is 400' short of 7/10s of a mile. The longest straight is 900 feet. We received feedback on both sides of the keeping/removing the s turns near the courthouse. A final decision will be made on that issue will be made soon and we will let you know promptly.
Members of North Texas Karters, Hill Country Kart Club, Gulf Coast Karters, RPM Kart Racing, Core Karting, Texas Karts, Tony Kart Texas and others participated. We appreciate their help and input. |

Here's a great picture of the Historic Courthouse that will basically be the center of multiple turns. How cool is this? Streets are wide and excited that the city is so interested in making this an annual event which means commitment...

It was an absolute pleasure to work directly with the city officials to help them plan the best way to make the course as good as it possibly can be. They really are going above and beyond to make ALL of us racers happy. They want this race to be huge and grow every year for a long time to come.
Plus it was really cool to have the folks (and police) ask us to do burnouts up and down the road. =0)
They are making the track perfect, LOTS of new tarmac. This track has it all: Beautiful downtown with lots of space for watching, Long straits, Tight sections, Banking, undulation, elevation change, PERSONALITY, and loads of support. in a word, Perfect. _________________ Matt Stephenson

The main pit area for LSGP 2013 will be one block north of the circuit at Glosserman Napa http://www.glosserman.com/
We will use the parking lot and some of the surrounding streets. Haulers will enter from the north exiting off of Hwy 183 on to Market Street and traveling south on N. Commerce St. to Pecan St.
All participants must enter from this route so that we don't cause traffic problems in Lockhart. Local law enforcement will help with the issue. So that we don't create problems with them all participants must park in a designated LSGP pit area and all team members must purchase a pit pass. |

Over 10,000 people have viewed this trailer in less than two days. If you haven't seen it it is time to check it out. It is John's best work yet and a very good indication of how amazing that this film will be.
