Hi Jim,

I haven't seen that happen. The O&H pins are fairly short so the hole doesn't have to be very deep.

Was the crank really badly worn so that everything moved around and the repetition snapped the crank?

John,
if I remember right the guy put em on and I think it was his experiment/first try without asking me. Not one lap went by and they came flying out. I think he did put em on a worn crank. He fixed the crank by taking them off and the crank sheared off from vibration. Two usless trips to the track ! Thats when I learned to do my own. I can still see the Horstman clutch passing the car ! Ok, now that this is off my chest..
