How are you guys hauling your karts to races?
I currently have a 6x12 enclosed and carry 2 shifter karts but looking to sell it and upgrade to a bigger enclosed. Need more space.
Thinking of getting v nose 7x16.

Also I was thinking of using streeter upright stands and strap karts along the walls of trailer. Is anyone doing this ?
I would assume I would need to empty fuel first. How about tranny fluid?

Curious to see how some of you guys have your trailers setup

You don't need to drain the trans fluid but you definitely need to cork it or run a line/tube up to keep the fluid from coming out the vent.

E-track on the wall, strap kart to wall, old tires under the chassis to soften bumps out. I can show ya a way to strap a kart to the wall with E track if ya want. One long strap is all I use.

Thanks Paul.

No need for tires underneath as I was planning to use a upright stand

I use straps everyday on my Dyno so I will pass on the strapping lesson Smile

Jerry - here's a link for those that want to see what a Blingstar is.

Do you have a pic you can post Wink or point us to that shows how the kart fits on it?

I installed E-track on the wall the same height as my bumper. With the kart on the stand, back the kart up to the E-track, suck each side straight back with a tie down, secure the front and your done.
Weve transported karts all over the country like this with no problems.

Get a double Stacker Stand for hauling karts. Dont have to drain a thing before leaving the track and the kart sits on its frame not its components.

Strap the stands to the wall.

Don't know if I would like having my axle bouncing up and down on the upright stand going down the road. Its bad enough resting the weight of the kart on it during stand still storage, even though I use one too..

We dont stand them up, we transport them on our regular kart stands. No draining fluids, no additional stands in the way, simple and quick.

Ill snap some pics tomorrow.

I transported my and another friends stock Hondas on a J3 transformer standing vertical without draining the tranny. That was going to and from Pittsburg to Daytona. You do need to drain your carb though.

Problem is I wanna be able to carry 4 shifters and a kid kart. I don't wanna get a huge trailer so I'm looking to get smallest possible trailer but still be comfortable. A 7x16 vnose is the biggest I wanna get otherwise before I know it ill be looking to get a 30ft trailer lol.

I have a 7 X 14 trailer, I have carried 3 karts on verticle stands strapped to the walls with no problem. With a 7 X 16, I don't see why you can't strap 4 karts to the wall and have 1 on the floor, or 4 in the trailer and 1 in the bed of the pick-up. I have shifter karts and have never had an issue with trans fluid, although I do have fuel shut off valves on the fuel lines to aviod fuel spillage.
