Hi all,

I'm wondering if there are different angles for the carb boot for folks running angled mounts? We only have a 7 degree mount, but I'd like to get the carb as close to level as possible to avoid any float problems.

If there aren't different angled boots, do I just adjust the float level to compensate?

Thanks, Scott

What engine are you running ? If its a 206, just use the 7. I would leave the float alone. The Animal is intended to be run at 7 degrees. If its an Animal, then you can get different boot angles

It's a World Formula and I've been informed that there is only one standard boot. So I guess adjusting the float level is the way to go.

Thanks, Scott

7 degree will work just fine with the W/F. Seen them run from zero degrees to fifteen degree mounts.

We run a number WF packages on 2 stroke sprint chassis. mounts vary between 7 and 15 degrees depending on the speccific chassis. To date we have not exxperienced any issues or performance losses due to the mount \ float angle. I agreee that at first glance it looks to be problematic but i think you will see that it works fine.

I have a blueprinted WF engine/carb package, and a completely stock WF engine/carb package. B&S states to mount them as level as possible. However, I have always run a 7 degree mount and have never had to adjust the float level to fit the angle of the mount. Install the 7 degree mount and have fun.

They also run fine on 15 deg. mounts. If you have any problem address it then, until then,as said before, have fun!
