|
|
I plan on runnig TAG Heavy, can someone please give me a starting point for gearing. This will be my first time at Laguna and since there is only one practice session I would like to be in the ballpark so I can make a change if needed and be good for Bmain. I am running a PRD and just as a reference I run a 15:75 at Big Willow.
Thank you for any help you may be able to provide. _________________ Bret Moreland

I had to add 3 or 4 more teeth compared to Big Willow. But I ran a Rotax. Maybe this will help.
How is the Motel 6 in Monterey? They said I could park with the trailer! |

Bret,
I ran a Leopard at Laguna Seca last year.
Start with 16/81 That will get you in the ball park.
Watch out for the up hill out of the pits, very easy to cook your clutch.
LS is a great track, I'd be running the race but Shoulder Surgery has me out of the Kart for a couple of months. |

Thanks, that helps. If I make it, will be staying in Salinas at the Motel 6. Not sure which one, north or south, will be going with my uncle George and Dave Fultz.
Doug,
Thanks, I only have a 15 so that works out to a 15:76. Will start somewhere close to that, probably a 15:77. Thanks for the advice, RR is a little hard on the clutch with the gearing. Get well soon and hope to see you at a NCK race later this year. _________________ Bret Moreland

Sounds like Dave got out of the veterinary field |

Why you guys all so quiet...? Where's the anger, where's the threats, someone needs to be the bad guy around here and stir up some competition. I wanna see sidepods flying and big dirt clouds off the end of the chute, winging punches at the scales... come on!!! _________________ www.Hegar4.com |

I've been busy out in the race trailer putting my ride together for LS, so you won't see ME out there with sidepods flying or big dirt clouds around my kart.... I hope. I need to stay ON track during a race for a change.

No , no none of that! There 's a reason I stayed away from the sport for 17 years. The screaming, cussing, pushing ......and that was just my wife. |
