For months this guy asked every stupid question you could ask. Now he is selling out. Never even got to the track.....     
Couldnt figure out how to get that shifter lever in....

It's not funny, it's actually pretty sad when you think about it. It happens more and more in karting today than you would think and it's not good for the long term health of the sport. Too many people dream of getting a kart and having fun on the track, work their butts off and make sacrifices to scrape together enough cash to buy or put together a kart only to find out how difficult and/or expensive it is. Then they become disenchanted with karting or run out of money and sell their karts and equipment off at pennies on the dollar. In the long run, they never got to experience karting, leave with a lighter wallet and bad taste in their mouth for karting. Instead of becoming a new ambassador for the sport, they tell friends and family of their negative experience and we make fun of them....how is that positive for karting?

True Brian! People dig thier own graves. So many people tried to help him.
Its only funny as he tried to reinvent the wheel with every thread.
He is a perfect example of why some should think it out before you buy a kart.
Maybe it would have helped to have a way to tow kart back and forth. A place to store it. Maybe not start out in a shifter.
He did everything wrong on a low budget if you ask me.

Are you kidding?!? Have you read any of his threads? This guy was a serious candidate for dumbass of the year awards. No common sense and a PITA beyond belief. This guy is worse than the guy at the track who bugs you over and over again for setup advice, then does the opposite of your suggestion, then comes back and asks for more advise. If you don't want the advice, don't ask for it. Good riddance.
The best learners are also the best listeners.

Brian, if your scraping your money just to buy a kart.
You shouldnt be in sport.
Didnt do your home work. After you buy a kart, it costs just as much money for travels to and from. Entry fee, tires, broken parts, buy a trailer, ect...
Its the people with money who dont think karting cost to much. Its the guys just getting by. They can no longer get into the sport. If they do this is the cold truth they face once they start getting everything you need together. |

Jeff,
That is my point exactly. Take Cesar out of the picture, he was a tool....but there are many more people out there that have a negative experience just like him out there. Yes, I know karting is expensive, I started with a shifter, after a few years I got a Superkart and my current kart has an Aixro on it. My point is, no matter who it is, it's not good for the sport when someone gets out of the sport because they realize it is too expensive or they are in over their heads.....they usually don't tell their friends how wonderful karting is. That's all I'm saying.
