Chris, no one is saying your method doesn't work, the system he came up with prob didn't cost him a dime and may work better. What's wrong with that.
I've tried bot set ups and the gfs works better. Theirs a reason they sell the gfs's faster than they can make them, they work.
It's funny, a handful of very vocal people on this forum hate this system, prob none have tried it.

Btw Chris, if you had a gfs you may have a few more trophies Wink

Quite Honestly if a $400 fuel pump is necessary for a low cost shifter kart engine things need to be reevaluated!!!! Long live ICC Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

You guys were perfectly ok with the cost of the pump around system, the gfs is $150 more? If $150 is going to keep you from racing, your in the wrong sport, maybe you should take up golf or frisby.

Any old bearing will let an axle spin but the some bearings work a little better. Will you notice that one little thing? Probably not. Put all those little improvements together and it equals a net gain. This is nothing more than one of those little improvements. Hopefully.

I ran it with both a electric pump and a pulse pump, makes no difference..

And if your fuel system is any indication..... Shocked Rolling Eyes

I'm sure you've got a lot of nice trophies. Be carefull not to roll over on them when your sleeping.

If your going to quote me do it accurately and don't use any of my photos and represent it as your own work.

I'm German, I pee accurately Laughing

I never claimed anybodies work as my own, I posted Paul's picture to show you an example, and if I was going to, rest assured, it wouldn't be yours.....your welcome for all the help and suggestions, and don't worry, I won't be giving you anymore....

This exactly the BS I was talking about, a guy asked for help and now your instant expert since you learned everything from here.

This is the problem, not the people offering their years of experience. Like I learned from my dad, keep your mouth shut and ears open, you learn a lot more that way... A lesson obviously not taught anymore....

Enjoy your endeavors, Merry Christmas...

I never claimed to know everything. I simply said I have a different idea I wanted to try and I acknowledged that it may not work. You got annoyed because I wasn't following your advice. You condemned an idea before you even knew what it was. I don't know what sort of skill set you have because I don't know you but I do know that the guys that really know they're stuff never say that or brag about trophies because they don't have to. I also know that a person who knows what they're doing but acts like a knuckle head in general isn't a good source of information because you never know if the technical expertise is being contaminated by ego and the need to always be right. So you might be well served by taking your own advice to shut up and listen because despite what you think you don't know everything. Learning some humility and how to express yourself on a forum without sounding foolish would be a good start.

Today I got to try my system on a track and it works exactly as I hoped it would. It's consistant accelerating, braking, turns and accelerating out of the turns no matter what I did the engine ran the same. So for those that like the idea of a gravity feed this can be made for the expense of the resevoir and some hose no second pump is needed. This is on a CRF I would think that with the lower carb position on a CR it would work even better.
