What would it take to get the 250 Super Karts to compete on a 1/4 mile, banked asphalt oval ? There is a good opportunity to do this. I just need to know how many would be interested ? What kind of purse $$ would the series be looking for to travel and run the race ?
thanks,
Mike

With the speeds involved and the proximity of concrete walls I don't think you'll get many takers. Would be pretty cool though.

concrete walls always win! Shocked maybe if the oval track had some of the "safe walls" in place like you see at the Indy/Cart races, maybe.

A safer barrier is a steel plate with blocks of foam behind tested to slow down a 4000 car.... I doubt a 500lb kart would even move it....
